Frequently Asked Questions

We want you to love your new Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy, and we want the process to be as smooth as possible.
Below, we’ve gathered the most common questions that come up. If you can’t find an answer, feel free to reach out.
How much does a puppy cost?

I imagine this is what most people want to know. For limited AKC, each puppy is $2000. If you are wanting full AKC, each puppy is $2600.

What does limited AKC mean?

All of our puppies can be registered with the AKC, but limited AKC means that your puppy can not be entered in breed competition and cannot breed.
Also, we require that you sign a Spay/Neuter agreement.

Are there any health guarantees?

We will do our best to find any health issues before our puppies go out to their forever homes by doing vet checkups and screening.
You will have two weeks to have your puppy checked by your own vet. After that, we won’t be responsible for conditions that might appear.

When will puppies be ready?

It is very important that our puppies have time to grow, spend time with their family, and develop social skills. Puppies will be sent home at 8 weeks of age.

How often do you have litters?

Honestly, I don’t know how often we will be breeding. These are our personal pets, and we are not trying to mass produce puppies.
We will most likely have a max of 1-2 litters a year.

How does puppy selection work?

As we take deposits, people will be put on a list in the order they pay. From there, once the puppies are born, we will allow the first person on the list to pick a puppy. Then, we will go down the list.

If you are lower on the list and want, you can wait till the next litter and be moved higher on the list.
